I deployed the site about a week ago and have made a lot of changes since then. My motivation for creating the site was a lack of free resources for creating simple site logos without having to scout the free font sites, download one, and create an image in Photoshop or the Gimp. For a professional designer, this is something they can do in their sleep, but for the average Joe (or even Joe Geek), it takes at least 15 minutes. I think for simple header images this should be a much faster process because it's computationally not difficult or expensive.
I am a bit concerned about drawing the ire of serious designers because LogoPixy is intentionally meant to be simple and fast to use, and the logos created will not rival those of professional designers. For instance, there is no way to use the site to recreate the Unilever logo. The more appropriate title of the site might be HeaderPixy, but that didn't have the same ring.
Please let me know what improvements you would like to see. This is definitely a work in progress and I'm having fun working on it. This is an evening project for me and I foresee working on it as long as it stays interesting.
Peace,
Barry

Hey there,
This is still a great tool. I just stopped in to check on how much progress you'd made on these improved features since we last spoke. (I did some web work for you.) I hope everything's going well.
Potentially I wonder if you would be able to offer the ability to create text filled with an image, or to be able to reference or upload an image to use for the header's background?
I would also love to see the ability to create text using a gradient for the actual font itself, not just the background behind it.
Things are looking great, and I like that the design of the workspace lends itself so well to a single page of small divisions, each containing easy to use and understand controls.

I would like to put a picture behind the logo
Very nice job!
